Jewelry Designer Elaine Alonzo

I met Elaine back in middle school. Although roughly 7 years have passed (I can’t believe it!) I can say that the fact that she has her own jewelry collection doesn’t come to me as a big surprise. She has always been a creative individual expressing herself through art. Her jewelry line, Venusian, is nothing but one of a kind; some of her jewelry having intricate details like natural stones and antique pieces. Her inspiration comes from the nuance and ethereal essence of her surroundings. In fact, just a few months ago, Luxe Apothetique decided to pick up her jewelry collection and sold many of her unique “modern tribal-esque”pieces, giving her a rise of confidence. Today Elaine is a busy woman making a name for herself, and is super excited about the new collection she will soon be working on. So keep those googley eyes on the lookout!
In the meantime take a look at these Venusian pieces!

If you wish to purchase any of these pieces or you have any questions please contact Elaine at:

For some reason I was attracting dogs that day, so I decided to take advantage of their cuteness and take a picture with them. Have a great weekend everyone!

Look Three: Black-to-Black

Anyone that's seen my closet will tell you that I probably own too many black clothes and probably shoes as well. My best friend always tries to get me to buy bright summery colors but I always end up buying the black version of whatever garment I liked. Guilty. I should tell her Mr. Lagerfelds quote: "One is never over-dressed or under-dressed with a little black dress" (or any black clothes for that matter).

P.S. this outfit I'm wearing is not a dress, it's a vest that I paired with a skirt, just an FYI.

This is just a random poster I found inside La Condesa restaurant. It's stripped, it's black and white it says Mexico...I liked so I took a picture.
By the way if you've never been to La Condesa, you should! It has what I like to call the "yum factor".

This weeks local pick is a store called DuO! It is located in the up and coming 2nd st here in Austin. Now don't be discouraged by its location, this boutique has great finds at an affordable price. During this week I will be posting some of my picks from their new collection, so keep coming back!
P.S. check their store regularly because they always have eye popping discounts.
